A FEW NOTES FOR MEMBERS OF THE 1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, and 2007 REUNION CLASSES:
On Thursday, September 28, there will be a PowderPuff football game at 5:30 pm on Tiger Field. Admission is $5; the public is invited to attend. The Homecoming Pep Rally and Bonfire will be held immediately following the PowderPuff game. Reunion classes will be honored at the Pep Rally, and the 2017 Homecoming King will be crowned.
The Homecoming Parade will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 29, and will start & end at the Fairgrounds.
Please contact the office to enter your class float. Line-up begins at 12:30 pm at the Fairgrounds.
Reunion classes will be honored at the Alumni Reception at 5:30 pm in the Oberlin High School gymnasium. You are invited to bring one (1) guest to the reception with you.
Honored alumni (and one guest) will gain free admission to the game by attending this reception. You MUST attend the reception to receive free admission. Food will be served to members of the reunion classes and their spouses/companions. Door prizes will be awarded during the Class Trivia rounds.
During the game, the announcer will periodically read the names of deceased classmates from 1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, and 2007 classes. Please compile a list of those classmates who are no longer with you and get the list to me before the game starts. (You may choose to do this during the days leading up to Homecoming, or you can give me the list at the reception.)
Some classes also choose to release balloons as these names are read. Each class is responsible for ordering their own balloons (we suggest Regina’s Flowers & Gifts). IF your class chooses to release balloons, please let us know before the game begins; in turn, we will let you know exactly when you and your classmates need to move down to the track so that you’re there in time for the reading of names.
Kickoff is at 7:00 pm on Tiger Field.
